Folio 1r. The miniature is in an intemediate stage; the backgrounds have been roughed in. The red background with fluer-de-lys and stars represent both the recipiants afiliation with RUM and elements from her personal arms, as the floor colors are from her personal arms--and conviently represent the livery colors of Northshield, where she lives and served as Princess. The central figure is, of course, starting to get roughed out in the colors of the Kingdom and carries a Doe's Grace. |
