This version has been differenced to show descent: my grandson. My daughter uses per pale sable and Or, a gryphon segreant contourny within an orle of feathers counterchanged, overall a label gules. We've tried differencing for her son by charging each of the points of the lable with a label argent, which tops us out layer-wise and is similar to the current practice in English heraldry, but it's not working for me, and I'll probaly repaint this to a butch-er red lable with a single, small white label in the main bar.
Let's not talk about the orle. I just have to repaint it, since I screwed it up. Since Claus painted the gryphon so far over, I'm just going to have to do partial feathers in that area. |
