Description : I no longer recall which magazine published the illustration. The gryphon is salient, the feathers really weird, and he has taken the liberty of coloring the beak, eyes, tongue, and claws yellow. He would use my arms several times in illustrations and one magazine cover for TSR, Inc.

Also of interest in this picture, the second set visable in this cutting is a modified version of a group device I designed for The Shire of Rockwall, argent masoned sable, a stag rampant countourny and on a chief embattled gules, three laurel wreaths argent. Ultimately, Rockwall registered something else, but Mike did use this "Rockwall" set of arms here and on a cover of Dungeon.

Just some fun trivia for you. :-)
